May Renner, PR Person for PBK BANK, was our group leader.  May made this trip the best any of us had ever been on.
Hawaii
Meet Brian and Mickey from TRIPS...They own the travel company we traveled with.  I loved them both.  Couldn't have been in better hands.  They traveled with us the entire time and planned our excursions which were excellent.  Fantastic Job...
Hawaii
We traveled with these two ladies that I just called the Arkansas Travelers.  We just loved them....Hello girls.
Hawaii
This group was local to us and from the Lincoln County Kentucky area.
Hawaii
Hello you girls in Lincoln....
Hawaii
I got up every morning to see the sun rise and work out.I worked out everyday, but....I saw sunrise one time only in Kauai.  If you see the jacket being used during your look around, it felt good there.  Temperature was around 70 degree, but the wind made it feel a bit cooler..
Hawaii
Pride of America..Boarded in Oahu, Hawaii
Hawaii
This day one was the only time I got to see the sun set.  It was a beauty.  This was taken in Honolulu in the harbor where Gilligan's Island was shot.  This seems to be just perfect.  I ran like a madman to get to this position.
Hawaii
Pearl Harbor was one of our first stop.  There we pondered history as it was written.
Hawaii
Hundreds of lives were lost on day as the Japanese attacked the ship docked there.
Hawaii
This memorial had the names that were entombed in the US Arizona.
Hawaii
The US Misssouri would survive the attack and go on to help defeat the Japanese Navy.
Hawaii Seventeen ships were lost and hundreds of lives given for the United States of America.
Hawaii
We traveled some 9000 feet in a van to get to the Haleakala Crater on Maui.  Once there iced was all around.  Most of the group just got and zoomed into the visitors center except myself and brother in law.  I had to go to the to Summit. BOY WAS IT COLD...HERE I STAND ONLY A COUPLE FEET FROM A 2 1/2 MILE WIDE CRATER.  When we returned, I had ICE in my beard.  It was worth it.
Hawaii
My brother in law was not to be denied...He to went to the top....Meet Don Butner.
Hawaii
At the bottom of the Volcano, we stopped at Maui Tropical Plantation to have dinner
Hawaii
YES, I SAW OLD CARS AND TRUCKS.  NOT TOO MANY, BUT SOME NICE RIDES.  THIS WOODY WAS INSIDE JUST TO BE SEEN..VERY NICE.
Hawaii
Tourism is number one cash flow followed by the sugarcane.  They grow it here and send it to California for it to be turned into sugar.
Hawaii Here's part of the gang taking a much needed break.
Hawaii
We then traveled to Loa Needle Valley.  There were 200 plus step to get to the best spot.  Carolyn and I both went up.  It rains 400 + inches a year here.  Yes, it rained this day too.  But in Hawaii they call the rain Liquid Sunshine.
Hawaii
The next several shots are of flowers found in Hawaii..Yes, I love flowers.
Hawaii
There were lots of WOWS on this trip...This flower had a price tag of $20,000.......
